Flint CARES Community Aligned Research for Equitable Solutions Flint Community Cancer Consortium (FC3) FC3 aims to conquer cancer in Flint through community-engaged education, prevention, treatment and research. Specifically, this will be executed through the development of community-academic partnerships with Flint leaders and representatives from Michigan’s three largest University, both NCI cancer centers and national experts in cancer, public health and other key areas. National Network to Innovate for COVID and Adult Vaccine Equity (NNICE) NNICE uses community engagement to advance equitable approaches to adult immunizations, while building the evidence base of interventions for adult vaccine uptake among racial and ethnic groups experiencing disparities. Specifically, NNICE brings together researchers, content experts, implementation partners and community grantees to develop and implement promising practices to create vaccine confident individuals in our communities of focus. Flint Community Webinar The webinar is held on the second Friday of every month from noon to 1pm, providing a local context to public health topics in Genesee County and Flint, through in-depth conversation and the sharing of local, available resources. Health Equity Report Card (HERC) The Health Equity Report Cards (HERCs) support the health and well-being of Michigan residents by providing understandable, relevant, and actionable health outcome data. By understanding the current state of health disparities (differences) and health outcomes in our communities, we can better address their causes and support prevention efforts. This will help us all live in a healthier community and create better lives for generations to come.
